Ahead of the App™ is a premium, high-impact coaching program designed to help students build authentic, purpose-driven stories years before the college application opens. We help teens uncover their passions, explore real-world experiences, and shape their unique stories.

We partner with families who understand that real confidence, clarity, and direction don’t magically appear the summer before senior year — they’re developed gradually through intentional exploration, reflection, and growth.

Because here’s the truth:
Colleges can see right through a personal statement thrown together six months before deadlines.  They want to see depth, consistency, and purpose — not a checklist of random activities or a last-minute narrative.​

At Ahead of the App™, we don’t chase checkboxes or generic accolades.
We help students cultivate authenticity, direction, and self-leadership — the things that not only make them stronger applicants, but more confident humans.

What We Do:

At Ahead of the App™, we don’t just prepare students to apply to college.
We guide them to uncover who they are, what drives them, and where they’re headed.

 

We work with students as early as the summer before 9th grade through customized coaching, long-term planning, and strategic guidance. This includes:

​

• Complete in-depth personal strengths, interests, and values assessments

• Explore aligned career paths and academic fields early on

• Identify and commit to meaningful extracurriculars, community service, summer jobs, and/or leadership roles

• Create a living resume that evolves over time

• Learn storytelling skills to connect the dots between their choices and their future goals

• Build habits in goal-setting, time management, reflection, and mindset

• Cultivate a unique, cohesive personal narrative they can confidently articulate

This isn’t about chasing trends or gaming the system — it’s about building a student’s foundation before they’re even asked to explain it.  By the time they meet with college advisors, our students already have the direction, voice, and evidence to make their applications matter.

                                                                                       

We are not college application advisors — and that’s exactly the point.  We prepare students to enter the college advising phase already knowing who they are, what matters to them, and what they bring to the table.
